Best NYC Neighborhoods for Access to Parks and Open Space

1 min read

Given that NYC is the densest populated large city in the United States, in the wake of COVID I created an online presentation with a narrative and photos describing some neighborhoods in each of the five boroughs that have excellent access to parks and open space. Rather than focus on more well-known neighborhoods the presentation looks at Windsor Terrace and North Bay Ridge in Brooklyn; Inwood and Fort George in Manhattan; Woodlawn and Mosholu/Fieldston in The Bronx; and Kew Gardens and Forest Hills in Queens.

Honorable Mention to Manhattan's Upper West Side, South Harlem/Manhattan Valley, and Morningside Heights; Prospect Heights in Brooklyn; and Oakland Gardens/Bayside in Queens. Click on the box below for the full presentation (note slide show w/o audio).
